Manja, for the people who manja their pets.
We're a pet-care content hub for Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia — built around one editor, vet-reviewed where it matters, and translated for the languages most owners around us actually read. Affectionate pet care, written for tropical Asia, in the four languages our region lives in.
Meet Ms Ella Moh, Editor
NUS-trained. Opening her own practice in Singapore in 2027. Manja is the editorial home she wished she'd had as a first-time cat owner — clinical accuracy, written with warmth, for the realities of pet life in tropical Asia.
How we edit
- Open with the thing. We lead with what the article is actually about — not a seven-paragraph preamble. Your time matters.
- Cite every number. If we say "30% of indoor cats show stress behaviour," we link the study. If we can't cite it, we don't claim it.
- Vet review is non-skippable. Any article in the medical tier is reviewed by a licensed vet, named on the page, before publishing. No exceptions.
- Translation by humans who live here. AI drafts; every Chinese, Malay, and Indonesian translation is reviewed by a bilingual native speaker who keeps a pet of their own.
Why four languages
Most pet-care writing online assumes a Northern-hemisphere climate, a Western retail context, and an English-only reader. Around us, owners read Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, and Chinese as easily as English — often more comfortably. We ship every article in all four.
What we don't do
- No telemedicine or live veterinary advice. Manja is editorial and community — not a clinical service.
- No storefront, no subscriptions, no ads. We're not selling food, supplements, or anything else.
- No native mobile apps. Mobile-first PWA only.
